As John Fowler said it... What kind of madness is this? He is exactly right considering that he doesn't believe in the system at all. He compares the NCAA to the MLB. Although he doesn't directly compare them, he used the MLB as an example. He suggests, that the Colorado Rockies who went 22 out of 23 and swept their way to the post season. He said surely they are better than the Red Sox. But there is no way they are better because the Red Sox won the World Series and although the Rockies may have done well in the post season, they would not make it to the world series. This is an example of why the NCAA should not use the BCS standings to determine who plays in the National Championship. "Champions should be decided on the field, not by a ballot box".
